Illegal Drugs sold at West Valley Store

The windows of the Los 2 Gallos store advertise DVDs, perfume, and clothing for sale, apparently that wasn’t the only thing the store was selling. 36 year old, Marco Antonio Vargas-Perez, was arrested last week for allegedly selling cocaine in his store.
Los 2 Gallos and Tropical Ritmo are stores in the Tenochtitlan Market, a popular strip mall catering to Hispanic customers along 3500 South. According to Detective Jared Wihongi of the Salt Lake City Police Department, police seized several grams of cocaine, a gun and loaded magazine, and $30,000 in cash.
Vargas-Perez was booked into jail last Thursday for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. He also admitted to police that he was in the country illegally.
